DIRECTIONS

Basement influenced structuring of the Utica/ Point Pleasant

Basement induced structuring of the Utica/ Point Pleasant is often an overlooked structural style in the Appalachian basin.  These positive and negative flower structures pale in comparison to the Salina deformation seen above.  The depths and sub-Salina placement of these features complicate the imaging but are still easily identified.  We will step through a few examples of these features to aid in the discussion.  Topics can include but are not limited to basement influences, imaging techniques, resources potential and depositional impacts.

Dear GSP Members,

As the days are getting shorter and inclement weather around the corner, the board has decided to turn our January meeting into a luncheon!

This luncheon will be a round table discussion allowing geoscientists the opportunity to discuss geophysical related topics relevant to our day to day work.  All members are encouraged to attend and contribute to the discussion.

Doors open at 11:30 with lunch beginning at 11:45. The round table discussion will run from noon to 1PM.  The luncheon will be held at our usual location at Cefalo's.

We hope that members who are normally unable to attend our evening meetings have the opportunity to participate in our new scheduled time.  Depending on participation and feedback we may adopt this meeting style for a few months each year.

Thank you,
GSP Board
